Senior Civil Structural Engineer
PZSE has an excellent opportunity for a talented ambitious Structural Engineer. This position will allow you to participate in the structural engineering design and management of a wide variety of projects starting in primarily in our PV Studio. You will be have the opportunity to engineer projects from conception to completion. We are passionate about developing outstanding engineers by offering numerous opportunities and experiences along with professional mentoring and cross-training.
Qualifications:
Strong skills in MS Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, with clients and in a team setting.
Technical Qualifications:
Expertise in California Building Code and Code Referenced Standards such as:
ASCE 7-10
AISC 325, 341, 360
ACI 318-14
NDS 2015
Strong skills in engineering platforms including ACAD, RISA program suite, ETABS, Enercalc and other various related Engineering software.
Experience with low and mid-rise commercial buildings.
Timber framed above Podium structures preferred. DSA and/or OSHPD experience is preferred.
7+ years experience & P.E. required. S.E. preferred.
Responsibilities:
Preparing construction reports and drawings, processing and analyzing data.
Structural design and analysis of timber, masonry, steel and concrete structures.
Field investigation of existing facilities.
Prepare structural engineering permit packages.
Communicate with Clients, Engineering Staff and Building Departments.
